Computer – My Best Friend

“The Art Challenges the technology and the technology inspires the art” John Lasseter

HUMAN AND COMPUTER INTERACTION

It is a study of use and design of computer technology.

Examples

Eye Tracking, good-bye mouse: The idea is to let your eyes make choices of movements and clicks on screen as opposed to your hand/fingers. Just wait and see where marketers take this (I’d be very annoyed if I was staring at a random ad and it opened unnecessarily!)
Human Body as a controller: Gone will be days when you moved that mouse when playing an online game. The idea today is to let the player engage in the game with her entire body and direct on-screen motion with actual physical movement.

Mark– For the average factory worker who has to prepare documentation separately after a day of work, Mark is a huge relief as it comes with in-built documentation processes that are based on the hand movements of the worker. I am imagining how this utility can be extended for those working in large warehouses say at Amazon .

The world is changing at a fast pace and more and more human/computer interactions that i believe you are talking about are happening.

AI is now a staple in most of our lives and as we further integrate it we will find ourselves interacting with computers more and more in our daily routines. Smart fridges are no longer a thing of the past for example.

I work for a company called OkeyDokey who have developed a Smart Lock system for your home. While this is great for personal use it also is a highly effective system for those renting out their homes as they can program the lock to give access to specific people for a specific time period.Things like this will become the norm and we will start to ask “what human to human interactions are there left”
